Meet Alyssa

Hi! I’m Alyssa, the artist and maker behind Alyssa Kate Designs.

I’ve always been drawn to color, the way it can completely change a space, an outfit, a mood, or even the way you experience an ordinary day. That love of color is at the heart of everything I create, whether I’m working on a large abstract canvas or making a tiny pair of earrings.

My inspiration comes from just about everywhere: nature, travel, fashion, interiors, unexpected color combinations, and the little details I notice along the way. I love creating intuitively and letting color, movement, and texture take the lead. My paintings tend to be bold, expressive, and one of a kind, while my earrings offer that same sense of individuality on a much smaller scale.

More than anything, I believe the things we surround ourselves with should feel personal. Art doesn’t have to be overly serious, and personal style doesn’t have to follow a formula. I create for people who aren’t afraid of a little color, who appreciate something made by hand, and who want the pieces they choose to feel distinctly their own.

Originally from Florida and now living and creating in Tennessee, I’m happiest when I’m making something, traveling somewhere new, hiking outside, or finding inspiration in a place I’ve never been before.
